Dr. Norman Betts has dedicated over three decades to oral and maxillofacial surgery, helping patients with a wide range of oral and facial conditions. His impressive background includes teaching as an associate professor at two universities and serving as chair of the University of Michigan Health System Hospital of Dentistry.A graduate of the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, Dr. Betts completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at The University of Michigan Medical Center while also earning his master's degree in the specialty.You can meet with Dr. Betts at our Chelsea and Ann Arbor offices, where he continues to provide the thoughtful, expert care that patients have trusted throughout his career.

Dr. Jeffrey Wasielewski has been a practicing oral surgeon since 2006, providing a high level of care with an emphasis on patient education. He is a proponent of lifelong learning and works diligently to continually improve his many surgical skills. His unrelenting thirst for knowledge and overall desire to improve allows him to provide superior care for his patients. He regularly engages in research, journal reviews, and continuing education courses to further his already expansive knowledge.He attended The University of Michigan School of Dentistry and graduated magna cum laude. After that he completed a seven-year residency at The University of Michigan Medical Center for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. During his time there, he earned his Doctor of Medicine degree. He is licensed to practice medicine, dentistry, as well as oral and maxillofacial surgery. Dr. Wasielewski loves meeting new patients at our Ann Arbor and Plymouth locations. He is proud to provide them with the most compassionate, world-class treatment possible in a relaxed and peaceful environment.

He completed his residency at The Ascension St. John Oral Surgery and Dental Clinic, where he honed the advanced skills he now brings to our patients.His impressive educational background includes a Doctor of Medicine degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine and a Doctor of Dental Medicine from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Bartling joined our team in 2018, bringing more than 20 years of experience in dentistry and oral and maxillofacial surgery to our practice. His extensive background has made him a valuable addition to our surgical team.A graduate of The University of Toronto Faculty of Dentistry, Dr. Bartling finished in the top 5% of his class, earning both the Periodontal Surgery Award and the Restorative Surgery Award. He maintains active membership in the Michigan State Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons and the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, and is board certified by the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology. His contributions to the field include published work in the Journal of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.You can meet with Dr. Bartling at our Chelsea and Ann Arbor offices, where he continues to provide exceptional surgical care to patients throughout the area.

Do you work with my regular dentist?

Absolutely. We maintain close collaborative relationships with referring dentists throughout Ann Arbor and surrounding communities. We'll coordinate your care seamlessly with your general dentist, providing them with detailed reports and working together to ensure your overall oral health needs are met.

What if I'm anxious about oral surgery?

Your comfort is our priority. Beyond our welcoming environment, we offer several sedation options including nitrous oxide, oral sedation, and IV sedation/general anesthesia. Many patients who were initially nervous tell us afterward that their experience was much easier than they expected.
