Precision Dental Implants in Our State-of-the-Art Office

When a patient needs a dental implant placed, we have X-Nav to assist in the surgery. This system allows for better control during surgery and a high degree of precision that’s unlikely to happen without it.

The X-Nav system controls the movements of the drill and the placement of implants in real-time. The X-Nav navigates the implants into the proper position as well as the perfect depth and angle. This kind of precision is highly useful for allowing the doctor to place the implant in just the right spot for the best outcome.

FAQs

A static guide is a physical stent fabricated before surgery that fixes the drill path in advance. Dynamic navigation like X-Nav tracks instruments live on a screen, letting the surgeon adjust in real time and see the drill's position relative to your anatomy. It also avoids the wait to manufacture a guide.

Yes. Navigation systems consistently reduce deviation from the planned implant position and angle compared with freehand placement, which matters most in tight spaces near nerves, sinuses, and adjacent tooth roots. Better positioning supports a stronger long-term result and a better-fitting final restoration.

Yes. The system navigates against your 3D anatomy, so a CBCT scan is taken first and used to build the surgical plan. Your surgeon maps the implant position, depth, and angle on that scan, then X-Nav tracks the instruments against the plan during surgery.

Navigation adds a planning step before surgery, but the placement appointment itself is often shorter and more efficient because the path is already mapped. Trillium can tell you whether guided surgery affects your fee during the consultation, along with what your insurance is likely to cover.
