I was very nervous about having significant oral surgery. The surgical team was very skillful and communicated so well during the procedure. Every staff member I have spoken with has patiently answered my questions. Special thanks to Dr. Betts, Charlie, Alexis and Mariah-forgive me if I misspelled your name! I will not hesitate to recommend your office to others.

On 2/6/24 I saw Dr. Norman Betts in order to have one of my molars extracted. I knew from my primary dentist that there might be issues because of crooked roots, and given the location, far back (#15), I was prepared for discomfort. I handle expected discomfort by doing multiplication tables backward in order to distract myself. So as soon as Dr. Betts approached I started in my head: 170, 153, 136, 119, 102, and by the time I reached 85 it was ALL OVER!!! 24 hours later there is no bleeding, no oozing, no swelling and no pain. Dr. Betts is a true professional and a very nice man to boot.

Let me be very clear, I have been petrified of going to the dentist for many years, a few bad experiences can destroy the trust factor. I was referred to Dr. Betts, from another oral surgeon, because the referring doctor wasn’t able to do the work I needed done. From the moment I called to make my appointment with Dr. Betts, to the time I walked out the door after my procedure, I have to say Dr. Betts and his team, has restored my trust. I was having severe anxiety when I arrived to the office, but the staff was friendly and kind. They worked together like they truly loved their job, and each other. When Dr. Betts walked into the room and started to explain what we faced, he laid out all the details of the surgery, & all my options. As he and his team worked on the extraction of my tooth, they explained every thing I was going to experience. I’m here today to tell you, if you are fearful of going to get dental work done here, please know this, don’t fear. After I was given the numbing medication, and waiting for it to kick in, I never felt any of the extraction of the tooth,, scraping out the infection,, or sewing up my gums. Dr. Betts now has a patient for life! I truly know His was a gift from God to me yesterday. Thank You Dr. Betts and your team! ❤️

I saw Dr Betts to have my wisdom teeth removed as I had seen him previously for extraction of four of my teeth. Once again, he didn’t disappoint! He is confident and clear, straightforward and thorough. All the staff were phenomenal. I feel confident that elsewhere I wouldn’t have gotten nearly as good of care. Thank you so much !

Dr jeffery Wasielewski earned my trust by providing an honest opinion about my dental needs without pushing unnecessary treatments. He is straightforward. I have been to other dentists who exaggerate what my needs were in order to make more money. So it was a relief to find a dentist with integrity. His knowledge and skills are unparalleled. High tech equipments, sterile and renovated office The staff was very friendly and helpful with insurance and other questions. Highly recommend his facility.

Very kind staff! Dr Bartling was a great choice for my wisdom teeth removal surgery. His assistant Charlie was the sweetest and most knowledgeable person to have been there with me today. She made me feel so comfortable and told me what she was doing before going forward which I appreciate! Sarah at the front desk was so amazing as well, she was very patient and kind! Recovery day 1 is almost complete and I’m so grateful that things went so smoothly!

I had all four of my wisdom teeth extracted yesterday and I can’t even believe how unbelievably comfortable Wendy, Dr. Cannavo, and the rest of the Trillium staff made me feel. One day since the surgery, I’m in as little pain as I should be in given the nature of the operation. I would highly recommend the Plymouth location as they are exceptional in every way and affordable compared to other dentists I got quotes from for the same services.

Highly-skilled, diligent, and compassionate. I had the unexpected pleasure of meeting Dr. Wasielewski and the Trillium staff following a traumatic injury that had resulted in two lost teeth, one very loose tooth, and extensive damage to my gums. I had gone directly from the ER to my dentist, then to the Trillium office that day. He and his staff were absolutely wonderful - very kind, supportive, and reassuring. I visited the office multiple times throughout a nearly two-year restoration process including bone grafts and dental implant surgery. At every stage, he and his staff were available to address questions or concerns, and he always took the time to ensure the best possible outcome from every procedure. I feel very fortunate that my dentist sent me over to that office. With much credit due to Dr. Wasielewski's skill and expertise, my smile has now been restored.

My husband had his tooth pulled today. I want to say WE, not just him as the patient but me as the family member received exceptional care. From the front desk staff all the way to the nurse and doctor. Customer service has really fallen by the wayside but NOT here. They still know how to treat people like people with dignity and respect. I would highly recommend their service Thank you to the staff of Ann Arbor Oral and Facial surgery for high quality care.

Not typically one to leave reviews, but the entire staff was so awesome I feel like I should. Everyone here is wonderful, helpful, and genuinely caring. It is a refreshing experience walking in and having all your anxiety wash away after talking to the front desk. Would give 10 stars if I could. Can’t say enough good things. Thanks guys

These guys are the best and Dr Betts is nothing but a super star professional! 2 of my children have now had their wisdom teeth removed by him and he did an exceptional job both times. By absolutely no stretch of the imagination, my wife had a major issue that we came in with, and right from the first consultation Dr. Wasilewski put us at ease with his personality and demeanor, all doctors would be truly fortunate if they possess even a fraction of what Dr. Wasilewski possesses in terms of soft skills and true ability. On a small side note, I had a highly impacted wisdom tooth that really started bothering me and because we had met Dr. Wasilewski through my wife's case I scheduled an appointment for my wisdom tooth extraction even though my tooth was highly impacted Dr. Wasilewski did an exceptional job with it. Additionally, all the people working there are very kind and caring. They have a wonderful team. In closing, in our humble opinion, Dr. Wasilewski is outstanding, and we would very highly recommend him.

This is a wonderful practice. I had a large molar extracted by Dr. Cannavo. I was a bit nervous but he made sure I was very comfortable and explained everything. He is kind, reassuring and a very skilled Oral & Facial Surgeon. Our family has been going to this practice for years and it continues to be fabulous. The addition of Dr. Matt Cannavo to this practice is icing on the cake!!

The doctors and staff at this practice are second to none! As a dental specialist myself, I have a “behind the scenes” look at many practices and I would never send my family anywhere else. Dr. Wasielewski is the most genuine, kind-hearted, caring, ethical and skilled oral surgeon in Michigan and the Plymouth/Ann Arbor community is so fortunate to have him around.

Five starts is not a high enough rating to describe the service I received at this office. I was seen by Dr. Cannavo and his diligence in doing everything he could to give me extraordinary care literally saved me thousands of dollars and months of discomfort. Dr. Cannavo's integrity and professionalism in treating me was exceptional.

I can't speak highly enough of Dr Wasielewski's skill and bedside manner. Between a challenging tooth extraction and the multiple appointments involved in placing a dental implant, I went home everytime with very little pain and no complications. Him and his staff were always so friendly and welcoming. I would recommend him to anyone needing oral surgery.

My wife had a cracked tooth extracted here and she was back home playing the kids in less than an hour. It was bothering her a lot and not only did they accommodate her but got her in early the day after Thanksgiving. Six hours later and still no pain! Dr. Wasielewski is an outstanding oral surgeon and a heck of a nice guy too! If you need an extraction, this is the place you want to go!

Dr. Cannavo Was patient and understanding during our pre surgery consultation. He really took his time to help make me feel comfortable. I had three wisdom teeth removed without being put to sleep and it was a pain free experience. I love how they billed the day of the operation! Not all people would like that, but the surprise billing practices in our healthcare system drive me crazy so I think it’s great! The friendly welcoming staff and experience I had is enough for me to say I would recommend Plymouth oral surgery to anyone needing oral surgery. Thank you all again!

Dr. Wasielewski - The Wonderful Wisdom Tooth Wizard! I was 38 with 4 impacted wisdom teeth, at least one nearly touching the root of the 2nd molar, and the lowers dangerously close to the nerve. At 28 someone else told me I was too old and high risk. 10 years later things weren't exactly better (and I was scared). What we have here is a mouth miracle worker. Yes, I woke up not knowing who I was and feeling like I had been punched in the face, but 2 days later I was down to only ibuprofen and had full feeling in my entire face. A few days after that, I no longer looked like a chipmunk. My one week follow-up went so much better than anyone expected. I'm 100%. I went into this knowing there was a good chance I could be weeks, or longer, with discomfort and/or loss of feeling. But that's only half of it... I had fun! He's not just a surgeon, he's your friend. I laughed while I was there (when I could) and my kids loved him!

Super nice staff! (the receptionists on the phone are kind of a hit or miss, I had to call the office a couple times and I had VERY different experiences the times I had to call with the different people on the phone). I was pretty nervous getting my wisdom teeth removed, but Dr. Peters was super nice and chill. She gave me a call the day after the surgery to check in and make sure I was doing okay, which was really going the extra step. The only thing I would have liked would be those syringes to help shoot water into the holes of where my wisdom teeth were to help with cleaning and getting food that is stuck, out (I can't find any of them at Rite Aid for some reason!). Billing was very straightforward too, the staff were very professional in explaining every step of the process.

I had an infection under my top left wisdom tooth and the tooth in front of it that was causing me unbearable pain. A regular dentist wouldn’t touch them because of how close to my sinus the infection was. Dr m cannavo did the surgery to remove them and had them out so quick I couldn’t believe it. He told me day 3 after would probably be the worst pain wise but I had absolutely no pain or swelling at all. Period. I will definitely be going back to get my other wisdom teeth removed. Worth every penny 10/10

Just had all of my wisdom teeth extracted yesterday by Dr. Peters. She and her staff were absolutely wonderful-best bedside manner anyone could ask for. Both her and staff took the time to throughly explain the procedure and any risks or complications that could be involved. I was very anxious but they made me feel comfortable. Dr. Peters herself called me this morning to see how I was doing. I definitely recommend them!!

I had both of my sons’s entire set of wisdom teeth removed this summer and it was an awesome experience for all of us! My boys are 17 and 15 years old and were very anxious about the procedure. Dr. Jeff Wasielewski was very personable and able to calm their fears before surgery and he did an outstanding job removing their teeth as they both had quick recoveries without complications! The office staff were ALL very professional, friendly, and efficient also! We would highly recommend this practice if you’re in need of any kind of oral surgery! Kudos to you all!! You do GREAT work! Additionally, I’d like to say that this office followed very strict pandemic precautions! Once you check in, the parents (or driver) must wait in their car until after the procedure. Masks are required and social distancing was enforced. As a Registered Nurse I felt VERY comfortable taking my kids to this office during this pandemic as I am a stickler for details and infection prevention! (I think a previous reviewer must have mistakenly posted to the wrong oral surgery practice).

I have nothing but great things to say! From the assistance to the doctors everyone was so friendly and knowledgeable. They scheduled me and performed my procedure the same day. Their communication was outstanding, they helped me make informed decisions and were happy to walk me through the procedure and the financials before I made any decisions. Such and easy process!!

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Michelle Peters and the staff at Ann Arbor Oral & Facial Surgery. My initial consultation visit was handled professionally and every staff member I dealt with was friendly and courteous. Dr. Peters was helpful in addressing my concerns and was very pleasant. The actual procedure of the removal of two teeth (one being a wisdom tooth) was handled in an extremely polite, considerate, and efficient manner. Dr. Peters' team was great, especially Wendy who was tasked with preparing me for the procedure. There were others involved but unfortunately I didn't get their names. I highly recommend Ann Arbor Oral & Facial Surgery and Dr. Peters without reservation.

Dr. Wasielewski acquired me as a patient when my dentist, unbeknown to me retired. Needless to say, I was more than surprised when Dr. Wasielewski appeared, introduced himself, and explained that he had taken over some of my dentist's patients. Seeing my frustration, he graciously gave me the opportunity to cancel my appointment, consider a different dentist, or stay with him. I chose to stay. We discussed my dental history and current course of treatment. It was obvious that he had studied my file and was prepared to be my dentist. Dr. Wasielewski is passionate about his profession and his patients. I made the right choice.

I had a wonderful experience with Dr Jeffrey Wasielewski. He made me feel very comfortable and has a excellent support staff. The most important aspect of my visit was that I had absolutely no pain throughout the procedure, even including the initial numbing shot. I didn’t even feel “the pinch” of the needle. Dr Wasielewski is an outstanding oral surgeon. I couldn’t ask for Better!!

My dentist referred me to this office for wisdom teeth removal earlier this year. The experience went so well, from the initial informed consent consultation to the actual extraction to recovery. While Dr. Bartling did sometimes seem like he was in a hurry during consultations (my only complaint!), he was still very approachable and I was able to get all my questions answered beforehand. I'm thankful I followed his recommendation for having all four teeth removed with general anaesthetic -- I never have to worry about them again for the rest of my life, and the whole extraction took maybe 45 minutes. I'm an anxious person by nature, and the staff did a really great job of making sure things felt comfortable and safe. Billing was also hassle-free. No issues running insurance and the quote they gave me weeks before the procedure was an accurate reflection of what I paid. Thanks for making what could have been a nightmarish procedure into a total breeze, Dr. Bartling and team!

I was referred here by my main dentist to have my wisdom teeth extracted. I was a little worried being I’ve never had any teeth ever extracted in my life. I came in filled out my paperwork and everyone was very accommodating to any questions, or worries I had. The staff was good but what really set the standard for me was Dr. Betts. He was beyond friendly and was very informative putting me right at ease. I left the office(with a driver of course) with all the information I needed for my recovery. Just when I thought it couldn’t get any better I awoke the next day to receive a follow up call about any questions, comments or concerns I had from Dr. Betts himself. That to me is going above and beyond. Most places you hear from a receptionist or have to call back if you have any questions, this place reached out to me and that says a lot in my opinion. Will be recommending anyone I know for oral surgery to this establishment!

I had to get 4 wisdom teeth removed plus 2 additional extractions, so 6 total teeth. I’ve had a fear of anything to do with dental work for years, and Dr.Wasielewski and the rest of the staff here made me feel comfortable and explained everything, answered all my questions, and made the overall experience much easier than I ever expected. Everything has been healing really well and I had very minimal pain even the day of surgery. I would definitely recommend them and have already!

I took my daughter in for a consultation with regards to a Class 3 malocclusion. Dr. Jeff treated us with empathy & professionalism. He provided two different treatment plans for my daughter and I to review. If you're deciding where to take your teen for jaw issues or wisdom teeth removal, I recommend Dr. Jeff wholeheartedly.

I had a lower left wisdom tooth removed in Oct. Dr Sturtz and his entire staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. I was amazed with how little I swelled after, no chipmunk cheeks for me! I believe this may be due to the short term steroid Dr. placed me on. Throughout the whole process, I was informed and comfortable. Thank you for your fantastic clinical skills. As a dental hygienist and a father who is a dentist, we both give our highest recommendation for this office.

This pains me to do but I think it's necessary. Let me start with where I screwed up, I think that's it's important to recognize ones own mistakes. I did not realize my appointment was today at 8am, ultimately my responsibility, I own it. I graciously was called and given an opportunity to show up late, I took it. The procedure was great the oral surgeon and assistants were wonderful. Where the issue lies is in the payment portion. I had intended to use my g/fs care credit which we had carefully checked on care Credits website the night before, to verify it would not be an issue. I did not bring an alternate form of payment, as I have had credit cards phoned in at this location previously.There were no issues other than they had to call up and say okay. I first attempted to send the payment via care credits pay my provider service. Although they are listed on this service, they stated they do not accept payments this way. I was then left trying to figure out how to pay them without my g/f being there. They informed me she just needed to call, which she did; but then I was informed she must show up to sign. This wouldn't have been a big deal, if the billing girl hadn't acted so indignant. Miserable expression, short one word answers. The kind of lovely person who gets super upset that she has to do anything but slide a card. I think the important lesson here is that Plymouth Oral surgery should call care credit and have themselves removed as an online payable buisness. I called and confirmed with care credit that they are indeed signed up. Mistakes were made on both ends, hopefully someone was just having a bad day and lessons have been learned.

Dr Wasielewski is an excellent and caring surgeon. He explains procedures carefully and gives all the time needed to respond to questions. He is very understanding about patient anxiety and genuinely wants you to feel at ease. With his combined medical, dental, and surgical training, he has tremendous expertise. He works with nurses who are kind and professional and that creates a positive atmosphere. I recommend him and his staff very highly.

Dr. Sturtz could be the visiting dentist on the TV show Mash. People my age know the dentist on Mash had the nick-name Painless. I just left the office after completing my tooth implant. The first procedure went smoothly. There was a surprising lack of discomfort. Had the second visit today, and I am off to get my crown. I met Dr. Sturtz when he was the good doctor cleaning up the mess after a bad doctor. Highly recommend. I will probably be back, unfortunately. Take care of your teeth while you are young.

Even though Dr. Betts is an excellent surgeon, I was mislead about the cost of a procedure. Dr. Betts does not work with Blue Cross Blue Shield and I received an additional bill for a biopsy. For a rather simple procedure taking 15 minutes I paid Dr. Betts $500+ dollars and then had a lab bill for nearly $200. I should have gone to a dentist who works with BCBS or they should have covered the biopsy as part of the bill.

I had my wisdom teeth removed here recently and I must say that as a new patient I felt so welcome right away. The operation went quick and very smooth. All the staff are incredibly helpful and always greet you with a smile! If you need your wisdom teeth extracted I highly recommend this place! Thank you all!

My experience with Dr. Wasielewski was great. I went into have all four of my wisdom teeth taken out. The receptionist and all the nurses were very helpful and very sweet. I was very nervous about having it done since I'm older...the doctor made me very at ease and did a great job. I hate needles - he did a great job putting me under. I woke up feeling pretty good, went home with no problems. Had to go back in a few days for a follow-up, everything looked good and all has healed very well. I would recommend them to my friends and family. They do great work and are all so friendly.

Going into my surgery of course I was feeling nervous as I put it off for 7 years!! Dr. Betts and the entire team in the room put me at ease right away! My recovery has since been great with very minimal pain and swelling! I appreciated the call the next morning to make sure I was okay from him personally, it was a nice touch to show he truly cares! If any more wisdom teeth just happened to pop through I wouldn’t hesitate to call him back up!! They truly take pride in what they do!

Last year my son got all his four wisdom teeth extracted from beneath his gum. Doctor Matthew Pinsky and nurse Carl did an excellent job. they used some "filling" for the wound and the bleeding stopped soon after. My son recovered quickly and was able to eat solid foods the same day after surgery. Doctor Pinsky is brilliant and nurse Carl is very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend them to all my friends.

Had a great experience yesterday. Willing to work with me regarding a payment plan. Dr. Barbetta was very pleasant and explained the procedure and his thoughts on what needed to be done without being to pushy, even though more work needed to be done. My procedure went great and 24 hours later I feel perfectly fine. I would highly recommend this office and more specifically Dr. Barbetta.

The doctor did a wonderful job with my wisdom teeth removal back in 2014 and I recovered very quickly. However the staff was very unorganized and created a big mix-up with the insurance. It took a while to get that sorted out. Hopefully they have hired different staff since then or have given them proper training on how to handle billing the insurance.

Initial review: We were referred here by a dentist we trust. The doctor seems nice, but the office is is not patient-focused and the desk staff are unhelpful... they didn't make any effort to get insurance coverage. Follow-up: The doctor here has taken excellent care with my child's oral surgery. We became more comfortable with the staff... you have to be persistent and don't let them rush you. I *do* recommend talking with your employer and/or health insurance company BEFORE setting a date for a procedure. If there's any chance your procedure will be covered, you have to ask the office to submit paperwork well in advance. Because of the high quality of the doctor, I would bring my child here again.

Dr. Betts saw me immediately when another surgeon, in another practice, was unable to complete an extraction. By then I was very apprehensive. His competent attitude coupled with explaining every little detail led me to trust him completely. He was able to complete the extraction and bone graft without incident. I was totally satisfied.

Love Dr. Barbetta! I had him and his team this past Friday and they did an excellent job! I had a lot of fears and anxieties going into it but they were very relaxing and patient, and one of the staff members even held my hand before I went under! Dr. Barbetta was very informative and thorough, and did great with my surgery. The front staff has always been courteous, and sweet! My father also loved the staff!

Dr. Wasilewski and all the support staff are AMAZING! I was very nervous about using the "laughing gas" but they assured me that everything would be fine. They were very conscious of my pain levels and my overall comfort. I wouldn't wish oral surgery on anyone, but if you need it done-see them! THANK YOU!!!

Dr. Betts is wonderful. He's very good at oral surgery, makes his patients feel at ease, and follows up after the procedure. I've taken both of my children there to get their wisdom teeth extracted. My daughter was very apprehensive. Dr. Betts had here laughing within 5 minutes. She went from big doe eyed fear to a relaxed, okay, let's do this attitude. But it's not just about comfort, he also did an outstanding job with her two lower impacted teeth. And then called the next day to check in.

I was referred to Dr. Betts by my primary care doctor after breaking and dislocating my jaw due to a fall from a ladder. After an emergency department failed to set my jaw, Dr. Betts made room in his schedule to see me immediately. He clearly explained the options I had, one of which was surgery to reattach the muscle which holds the jaw closed. He discouraged me from having the surgery in lieu of a longer term treatment which would not leave a scar and would avoid possible complications.

Dr. David Sturtz is simply amazing!!!!! I had been struggling with a very strong and painful wisdom tooth for 9 months which I went to two different dentists for. The previous dentists tried to pull it out unsuccessfully and the last one attempted to remove it five days ago to no avail. The pain from the failed attempt of the extraction together with the pain of the infection itself was incredible! I have to say that when I walked into the Plymouth Oral & Facial Surgery office, I was not too hopeful. After explaining my situation to Dr. Sturtz, he promised me that I would not feel any pain and this is exactly what happened! I could not believe that the tooth that had a been a problem to two different dentists was finally out and I didn't feel a thing! Wow! Thanks again Dr. Sturtz, you're the best and a very valuable asset to our community! Also, to the nurse who assisted me, thanks for your warmth. I strongly recommend this location to anyone struggling with a stubborn wisdom tooth.

I have been seen by Dr. Wasielewski for diagnosis of lesion on my tongue. Dr. Wasielewski was very professional and more importantly took a lot of time to explain what he was going to do and answer my questions. He has a very good "chair side" manner and seemed to genuinely concerned about my situation. I took one star off for wait time. I have been there twice and have experienced extended wait times. Not terrible, but a little longer than I would like to wait. I don't know the outcome of my biopsy yet but wanted to note that I am very pleased with the practice so far.

I was referred to Dr. Betz for my wisdom teeth removal from my dentist. He and his staff did a wonderful job of welcoming me, showing me my x-rays, explaining that I had large nerves and how they were going to carefully avoid the large nerves during the surgery. After the surgery, I developed painful dry sockets and Dr. Betz saw me twice a week for a few weeks to add clove gauze until I was 100% better. I seriously couldn't have asked for a more attentive and helpful oral surgeon. I would recommend Dr. Betz to anyone!

I had a great experience here! Dr. Aldridge was the one who helped get out my impacted wisdom teeth. He showed me the x-rays and explained everything they were going to do and how to avoid any nerves. He was very kind and informative. I had to be awake with just novacaine so it was a little scary but he did a great job! Just some swelling afterwards which is normal, but if you keep ice on it you won't develop chipmunk cheeks. 🙂 And if you have any questions or concerns they're quick to fit you in. I developed a small abscess after the second impacted tooth came out because my mouth is super sensitive and they got me in quick, prescribed me antibiotics and by the next day it was basically gone. If I ever have to get my top ones out that aren't impacted, I'm definitely going back here!
