Dr. Elise L. Ehland

Dr. Elise Ehland is a double board-certified Facial Cosmetic Surgeon and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon. She is returning to Michigan and joining Trillium Oral Surgery and Implantology after 13 years of active duty military service with the United States Air Force. In the service, she was a full-time surgical faculty at the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency at David Grant USAF Medical Center, and an Associate Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery with the Air Force Postgraduate Dental School. 

Prior to her time in the Air Force, she attended Marquette University for an undergraduate degree in biomedical sciences. Subsequently, she attended the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry for her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree, followed by two post-doctoral residencies and a surgical fellowship; she earned her certificate in oral and maxillofacial surgery after completing her residency at David Grant Medical Center, Travis AFB, CA. Dr. Ehland has uniquely completed an advanced surgical fellowship through the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery in Facial Cosmetic and Reconstructive Surgery in Atlanta, Georgia in 2019.

Dr. Ehland is an active member of her professional societies and enjoys teaching her specialty of cosmetic surgery to surgical residents. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, a Diplomate of the American Board of Facial Cosmetic Surgery, and a Fellow of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and the American College of Surgeons. She has been published in multiple academic journals and textbooks and continues to lecture at professional meetings, continuing medical education, and review courses. Dr. Ehland also serves as a board examiner for the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery and the American Board of Facial Cosmetic Surgery.

Her current practice includes facial cosmetic surgery, non-surgical facial rejuvenation, trigeminal nerve repair, orthognathic (jaw surgery), benign pathology, TMJ, facial trauma, dentoalveolar, and implant surgeries. Dr. Ehland’s passion is the subspecialty of facial cosmetic surgery, caring for her patients, and helping them to look and feel their best!

Dr. Ehland is married, and her husband is also a veteran of the USAF. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling with her husband, traveling to visit friends and family, spending time with her dog, playing golf and volleyball, hiking, cooking, and reading.
